The App provides news and information about events, whether they are generalist contents, cultural, sports, recreational or other events. Events can be georeferenced, appearing on the map of points of interest and associated with the users' calendar.
It has integration with social networks: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. You can activate the social networks you want to show, as well as hashtags or channels, in a dynamic way and/or with moderation, controlling what you show users. This is the best way to show and share posts without users needing to have an account on those social networks or leave the app to see that content.
It uses maps to show the Points of Interest to users. The points of interest are organised into categories to facilitate consultation and may be complemented by images, audio, video or other multimedia elements to maximise the user experience. The points of interest can be displayed on a map, in georeferenced form, or in list view and can also be explored using augmented reality.
The Routes make it possible to organise detailed information about urban or nature routes, their characterisation, geo-referencing, including altimetry, duration, degree of difficulty, accessibility, etc.
This technology can be applied along tourist routes - approved footpaths and recommended itineraries - allowing users to obtain localised information on points of interest.
Even without an internet connection, in "off line" mode, it is possible for the user to continue to receive information along the way. This is especially suitable for those who want to walk around without any time constraints and access all possible information without having to carry books in the back.
Imagine having a guide on your smartphone that gives you the information exactly when you need it.
The App has a strong integration with Bluetooth signal emitters through Beacons, which allows the App user to receive notifications or specific contents when he/she is near one of these emitters.
These signals can be picked up by the application and interpreted as triggers for a certain action. The user receives messages with promotions or highlights as he approaches points where there are senders, that is, context-based information. Also in the case of indoor or outdoor environments, this integration helps in the case of navigation. As the user walks, he receives contextual information that not only helps him to know what is around him, but can also help him to follow an optimised route.
This App allows the user to access content even when in offline mode (without access to wifi or mobile data). This feature is particularly interesting and useful when it comes to tourists who go for a walk or hike and are without wifi access. They can continue to enjoy all the information without having to worry. In the case of the Tourist Routes, it is possible to download all the content and then access it in offline mode and still enjoy your visit.
The App interface is available in several languages, being presented to the user in the language defined in his equipment and the backoffice allows content management and respective translations in several languages.
All text content relating to news, events or Points of Interest can be automatically converted into audio ("text to speech"), using the mechanisms provided by the mobile device itself. This is an important tool for users with disabilities and/or visual problems.
